In December 2002, Humanist Ministries, Inc. started Reuben’s Academy, a family day-care center licensed to care for eight children. The philosophy of Reuben’s Academy is peace, work and nonviolent conflict resolution. Here, children cannot fight, scratch, punch or otherwise harm themselves or others.
Today, Reuben’s Academy provides care for children aged six weeks through twelve years old. The Academy is open from 6 AM until 10 PM five days a week. Reuben’s is located at 3402 North 40th Street, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
iThe goal of Reuben’s Academy is to become an accredited childcare center, offering the finest quality services for our families. This objective is especially important in light of the state government’s increasing interest in contracting with religious based organizations in an effort to provide such social services. ck here to add text.
